Born on October 12,1946 in Trenton, N.J. Larry lived throughout the country and Germany for ten years as his father was a career Army infantry officer. He moved to Miami, Fl. in 1956 when his father retired from the Army and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in 1964. Larry enlisted in the Air Force in September 1965 and completed basic training at Lackland AFB eventually moving to Shepard AFB for jet aircraft maintenance training. He transferred to McConnell AFB for F-105 training before deploying to Takhli Royal Thai AFB to support the Vietnam War. Returned to the states on Memorial Day 1968, he was assigned to MacDill AFB Tampa Fl. until his discharge in January 1969.
Larry was hired by United States Postal Service as a city mail carrier and attended Florida International University graduating in 1976 with a degree in Accounting. He was then hired by the Internal Revenue Service as a field agent in 1977 and returned to school obtaining a Master’s Degree in Taxation. Following his education, Larry obtained a CPA license in 1981 and went to work as a Tax Partner for William A. Webb & Associates for thirty-two years until his retirement in 2013. Larry moved to Tellico Village with his wife Linda in 2010 and worked as a part time CPA for three years. He joined the Kiwanis Club in 2011 and has volunteered for many local projects. Currently he serves as Treasurer of the Tellico Kiwanis Club and Foundation. He is also a Life member of the VFW and a charter member of VFW Post 12135 in Tellico Village. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Post, a member of the Relief Committee and participates in numerous projects of the Post.
